Fearless Female Interview: Chelsea
Who is your role model / a female that inspires you?
Honestly, females in general are brilliant to me.
But if i had to choose just one, definitely Harriet Tubman. That woman was a BOSS.
Favorite motivational quote?
Currently it’s a poem by Nikita Gill
“They won’t tell you fairytales of how girls can be dangerous and still win.
They will only tell you stories of how girls are sweet and kind and reject all sin.
I guess to them it’s a terrifying thought, a red riding hood who knew exactly what she was doing when she invited the wild in”
What does a fearless female look like to you?
The notion of females who understand their power and influence innately and purely I think is such true reflection of a “fearless female”. Knowing that the female was created second to male because he literally wasn’t enough. Understanding that women make up for what men lack and we hold our own with radical softness and patient resilience. I think unbound females understand that they can accomplish anything, and do so in incredible manners as they accommodate a less than forgiving or accommodating patriarchy. They are clever and kind and fierce. fearless females have MOXIE BABY and they are modest, incredible, and powerful waves of brilliance for our world.
How does being a fearless female benefit you and bring you closer to your goals? / Why do you think it’s important to see more women in positions of leadership?
I combined these two questions because I believe they go hand-in-hand. Personally, when I see other females with relentless drive and perspective, it’s like a contagious addiction. It inspires & encourages me in the face of the socio-cultural tendencies that are driven into us females from a young age. Those dumb things ya know? And these weird and stupid tendencies of inferiority and fear mean that we as females have to retrain our brain just merely to feel like we are just as capable and powerful. And for me, seeing other women who acquire positions of leadership and influence is so infectious! And we need that from and for each other. I know that in my own daily ambition to achieve and dream and work that I am not only cultivating a better reality for myself, but hopefully for other women around me now and for the future generation of females as well. we are apart of a movement that has been happening for decades, our great great grandmothers were getting beaten in the streets trying to earn their right to simply vote. I’m really proud to contribute and be apart of the legacy of the female and I think this overarching understanding of where we’ve come from and where we are going is huge in helping me pursue my own personal gals without hesitation.
What are your tips for being a fearless female?
“Live the passionate life. the one that keeps you soft and breaks you wide open at the same time.”
|| April Green
“Your arms can hold you too. never underestimate the healing power of your own, intentional, presence.”
|| Mark Groves
Understand that you are not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but you should never adapt and accommodate your strength or heat to suit someone else’s preference. know that you are capable of being bright for the right people who need you, especially yourself.
