Week 12 of 52 Actions
This week on March 22, it's World Water Day, a worldwide annual event that focuses on the importance of access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities in developing countries. If you want to know more about World Water Day, you can head to the official website here. In honor of World Water Day, here's our challenge for you this week:
Think of ways to reduce the amount of water you can use this week - take a shorter shower, don’t let the water run while you’re brushing your teeth, etc.
It's difficult to realize how lucky we are to have access to clean water - the idea of living without clean water is unthinkable to most Americans. But many people in developing countries have to travel miles for access to clean water just to survive. We are challenging you to be more cognizant of the amount of water you use and make a conscious effort to use less - this week, and hopefully going forward :)
See ya next week!
